Grace to you and peace, from God our Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ!
I am glad you have stopped at our
website, and I know you’ll find it informative and appealing. You’ll
discover most of the information you need to get to know Saint Luke
Lutheran Church, our mission and ministries here, but unfortunately,
our site doesn’t relate the heart of our church…our warm and
genuine energy and our open hospitality. To witness these things,
you’ll have to visit personally, and so I encourage you to come to
Saint Luke for any of our activities, especially Sunday morning Holy
Communion.
And our activities
are abundant! Because we are truly a church “family” there are plenty
of weekly opportunities, in fact most of our members are involved in
church activities and committee work of some type. But all of our
activities begin with Sunday worship, and that’s where we focus our
attention. The result is friendly and inviting worship, excellent
music, children’s time each Sunday, Holy Communion at every service,
all of which are set within the dignity and tradition of the Lutheran
heritage. I think what Saint Luke represents is not just a friendly
church, but a true reflection of the presence of Jesus in people who
love to share the good news.
To those whom Jesus
called, he said “Come and see!” (John 1.39) And so I invite you to
Saint Luke Lutheran to come and see. If you are visiting the Brunswick
Coast, vacationing here on the islands or seeking a closer
relationship with God —I know you’ll find rest and renewal here among
Christians who live the gospel, saints and sinners who are saved by
grace alone through faith alone.
As you travel the
road to Jerusalem, know that you are always welcome in this place.
Grace and peace,
Pr. Henry Rehder
