Women of Saint Luke
The Women
of Saint Luke meet September through June on the third Monday of
each month at 6:00. Meeting format includes dinner, prepared by
volunteer hostesses, a thirty-minute program and a business meeting.
Program topics include faith-based subjects, wellness issues, community
outreach and updates on community resources.
The group is financially independent from the church and supports itself
through monthly thank-offerings and the Rada Cultery Program. The women
give support to Communities in Schools, the Saint Luke Lutheran Preschool and others
causes as needed.
Each
meeting ends with the following prayer:
Dear
Lord,
Help us to reach out to the poor, the needy, the sick, the widows and
widowers, those orphaned, the fatherless, the motherless. Help me to get
my hands dirty, do a little labor, get involved and find someone who is
hurting worse than me and put a smile on somebody's face.
In Jesus' name
Amen
All women of Saint Luke are invited to attend and become involved.
